Ravi Engineering & Land Surveying, P.C. (RE&LS) is accepting resumes for a highly motivated Project Surveyor (Licensed Land Surveyor preferred) with a minimum of 10 years of surveying experience, for its Rochester, NY office.

Ravi Engineering & Land Surveying, P.C. is a Rochester, NY-based consulting engineering firm specializing in providing state-of-the-art structural, transportation, land surveying, environmental, and geotechnical engineering services, committed to providing technically sound solutions to our clients that include state, municipal, and private organizations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversight of a variety of Survey projects

• QA/QC of all land surveying deliverables

• Perform and oversee calculations for construction stakeout projects

• Directing field crews in all facets of every day projects

• Client outreach – existing clients and marketing potential clients

• Control adjustments & GPS post processing

• Compiling information from Clerk’s Offices, Departments of Transportation, Highway Departments, etc.

• Interpreting record plans, deeds, maps, etc.

• Performing boundary calculations and applying boundary law

• Overseeing the creation of acquisition mapping (PE, TE, FEE, etc.)

• Other duties as assigned

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates should have extensive knowledge of New York State Department of Transportation Survey Standards and Procedures and Right of Way Mapping Procedures

• Knowledge of Bentley and Autodesk products

• Knowledge of remote sensing technology a plus

• Must have good technical and problem solving skills, and be process oriented and consistent

• Must be a good communicator and able to maintain a good working relationship with field and office personnel

• Must be able to work independently

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Associates or Bachelors in Land Surveying

• NYS License in Land Surveying Preferred

• Minimum 10 yrs experience in Land Surveying

COMPENSATION:

• Competitive Salary $93,600 - $125,000
